All courses, retreats and stays are conceived as educational, cultural or recreational experiences. They do not constitute, in any way, medical, psychotherapeutic or healthcare treatments. Participation takes place under the full responsibility of the Client.
La Fattoria dell’Autosufficienza provides its services by adopting its own regulations. In addition to the services described above, the Farm makes its rooms (Octagonal Room and Geodesic Room) available for the organization of events, courses, and retreats by external parties. This service is governed by Article 4-bis of these General Conditions.
Art. 2: Purchase Terms
The booking process is managed through the bookinglayer platform connected to this website and the user wishing to proceed with the purchase must express their intention by following the instructions on the site and correctly completing all stages of the purchase process. The submission of the booking request or order by the user implies full acceptance of these General Terms and Conditions of Sale.
-
- – Minimum age and responsibility for minors
The purchase of services on the Site is permitted to persons who have reached 18 years of age (adults). Individuals under 18 years of age may access the services only if accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, who will make the booking and accept these terms and conditions on behalf of the minor.
Art. 2: Information on prices
All prices for services displayed on the Site are expressed in Euros (€) and are inclusive of Value Added Tax (VAT). Prices refer exclusively to the services described. Any additional costs, relating for example to ancillary services, can be activated at the user’s discretion and are clearly indicated in the order summary before the user proceeds to confirmation and payment.
In the event that the service being booked includes overnight accommodation, a Tourist Tax will also be applied, which is collected directly at the facility.
La Fattoria reserves the right to modify prices at any time, without prior notice, it being understood that the price applied to the order will be that indicated at the time the request is submitted by the user. No minimum or maximum spending thresholds are envisaged.
Art 3: Payment Methods
3.1 – Payment execution
Following the completion of the booking process, the Customer will be redirected to a page for payment execution. Payment must be made within 30 (thirty) minutes of booking for confirmation of the booking itself and must be equal to the amount indicated at the end of the booking procedure. If this time is exceeded, the booking will not be confirmed.
Users may make payment for services in various ways:
- Bank transfer: the bank details (IBAN) for making the payment are provided at the end of the booking procedure with the relevant instructions on how to confirm that payment has been made;
- Gift cards (gift vouchers, accrued credits, refunds, …);
- by credit/debit card through the Stripe platform, which provides the financial infrastructure service for the Internet;
- with Klarna, a service that allows you to purchase online and pay by dividing the amount into (3) three monthly instalments without interest.
In the event that the payment method chosen by the user involves any additional charges (e.g. fees for specific transactions), these will be clearly indicated in the order summary before payment confirmation.
In the case of payment by credit/debit card, the charge will be applied upon completion of the order procedure, upon receipt of the order confirmation.
Should the payment method chosen by the user be by credit or debit card, the charge will take place online, that is in real time through the payment platform of the relevant banking institution, following verification of the accuracy of the data provided by the user.
3.2 – Charging and security procedure in payment
The charge will be made upon completion of the payment procedure, that is only after (i) the details of the card used for payment have been verified and (ii) the issuing company of the payment card used by the Customer has released authorisation for the charge.
On this point, in application of Directive 2015/2366/ (EU) on payment services in the internal market (PSD2), users are informed that they may be required to complete the purchase procedure by satisfying the authentication criteria requested by the payment institution responsible for managing the online payment operation. The authentication criteria refer to the user’s identity and the simultaneous knowledge of the authentication code transmitted by the payment institution (Strong Customer Authentication). Failure to complete the procedure described above may result in the impossibility of finalising the purchase and therefore confirming the user’s booking. In this regard, La Fattoria cannot be held responsible for the failed completion of the booking.
The confidential payment card data (card number, cardholder, expiry date, security code) are encrypted and transmitted directly to the payment processor without passing through the servers used by La Fattoria. La Fattoria, therefore, does not have access to and does not store the payment card data used to proceed with the purchase.
Upon completion of the transaction, the Customer will receive immediate confirmation of the payment made based on the relevant payment system.
La Fattoria reserves, in any case, the right to suspend or cancel, at its own discretion and at any time, the execution of a booking in the event of non-payment or partial payment of any sum due from the Customer, in the event of late payment or in the event of fraud or attempted fraud through the use of the Site, including in relation to previous bookings. On this point, La Fattoria reserves the right to refuse or cancel orders that come from (i) a user with whom it has an ongoing legal dispute; (ii) a user who has previously violated these Conditions and/or the conditions and/or terms of the Contract; (iii) a user who has been involved in fraud of any kind and, in particular, in fraud relating to credit card payments, or ticket touting; (iv) users who have provided false, invented, fictitious, incomplete or otherwise inaccurate identification data and/or in any way not corresponding to the truth or referring to third parties, or who have not promptly sent the documents requested as part of the payment procedure or who have sent invalid documents.
In the context of combating Internet fraud, information regarding bookings made by the user may be transmitted to third parties authorised by law or designated solely for the purpose of verifying the Customer’s identity, the validity of the booking, as well as the payment method used. As an additional measure to the secure payment system and for the purpose of contributing to the prevention of Internet fraud, La Fattoria reserves the right to verify the personal data provided by the Customer and adopt the measures it deems appropriate (including cancellation of the order).
3.3 – Payment Completion
Upon completion of the payment procedure carried out on the Site, the Customer will receive a confirmation communication at the email address provided, within which they will find a summary of the services booked, the payment made and a link to access the Customer Portal.
The Customer Portal has been designed to facilitate customers in managing their own bookings. Among the various sections, the Customer will be able to access the payments section.
In the payments area, the Customer is given the possibility to view the history of payments made, execute payments to complete the balance for booked services, fill in the data for requesting an invoice and the history of their invoices.
To access the Customer Portal, you must have the booking number and the email address used to make the booking.
Art. 4: Use of services and cancellation policy
4.1 – Use of the Services:
Following payment, the user will receive a confirmation message at the email address provided, which will constitute proof of entitlement to use the service.
In the confirmation email you will find a summary of the services booked, the payment made and a link to access the Customer Portal.
The Customer Portal has been designed to facilitate customers in managing their bookings. Amongst the various sections, customers will be able to access:
- Online check-in: the Customer is required to complete the Online Check-in procedure via the Customer Portal before their arrival, or in any case within the maximum deadline specified in the booking confirmation. Completing the online check-in procedure before arrival is strongly recommended. This operation contributes to optimising internal organisation and streamlining the on-site registration phases, ensuring a faster and more efficient welcome process for the Customer. For the purpose of complying with the legal obligations set out in the Consolidated Public Security Act (TULPS), in particular for communicating guests’ data to the Public Security Authority, and for ISTAT statistical surveys, the Customer acknowledges that the provision of such data (including name, surname, date and place of birth, citizenship, type and identity document number) is an essential requirement in order to use the booked accommodation service.
- booking summary: summary of the services purchased and the guests for whom check-in must be completed.
- your details: summary of the data provided to the facility for managing the booking.
- additional services: summary of ancillary services included in the booking.
- Items purchased: summary of services purchased.
- payments: summary of the status of payments, as stated in Art. 3.3.
- Car sharing: looking for/offering a lift. In this section, La Fattoria grants customers who have made a booking the possibility to share their needs for finding or offering availability for journeys, for example to reach La Fattoria. Data is processed in accordance with the Privacy Policy published on the Site.
Online check-in: in the dedicated area, in addition to allowing the Customer to enter the information of each participant to speed up the registration procedure, the option is given to notify La Fattoria of any additional needs, useful for the staff to ensure the best possible experience, such as:
- dietary preferences, intolerances or allergies (*);
- additional notes: where the Customer may communicate any specific requirements related to the activities and/or services (*);
- need for the shuttle service.
(*) It should be noted that the completion and provision of this type of data and information (falling within the category of “special categories of data” pursuant to Article 4 of EU Reg. 2016/679) remains the responsibility of the Customer and is entirely optional. Should the Customer wish to provide such information, to enable La Fattoria to deliver personalised services/activities, they are informed that such information will be processed for the purposes and in the manner set out in the data processing notice published within the same section.
4.2 – Cancellation policy (conventional withdrawal) by the user:
Notwithstanding what is specified in the following Art. 6 regarding the exclusion of the legal right of withdrawal, La Fattoria dell’Autosufficienza offers its Customers the following contractual cancellation policy:
For Courses & Retreats & Detox Retreats:
- For cancellations communicated at least 30 days in advance of the service start date, the Customer is entitled to a credit equal to 100% of the amount paid.
- For cancellations notified between 29 and 15 days before the start date, the Customer is entitled to a credit equal to 50% of the amount paid; the remaining 50% is retained by the Farm as a penalty.
- For cancellations communicated with less than 15 days’ notice or in case of non-attendance (“no-show”), no amount is due to the Customer and the entire amount paid is retained by the Farm as a penalty.
For Ecotourism & B&B:
- For cancellations communicated within 15 days prior to the event date, the Customer is entitled to a credit equal to 100% of the amount paid.
- For cancellations communicated starting from the 14th day prior to the event date, no amount is due to the Customer and the entire amount paid is retained by the Farm as a penalty.
In cases where, pursuant to the preceding paragraphs, an amount is due to the Customer, the Farm grants such amount in the form of an electronic credit (“voucher”) of equal value. The voucher:
- is issued in the name of the Customer indicated in the booking;
- may be used on the website autosufficienza.it to book similar services (stays, courses, retreats, and events) within 12 months from the date of issue;
- is not redeemable for cash, unless otherwise specifically agreed on a case-by-case basis with the Farm.
Upon cancellation, the Farm will send the Customer a written communication indicating the amount of the voucher, its expiration date, and the terms of use.
Method of exercise
To exercise the right of cancellation, the Customer must send an explicit declaration (for example, by email) to the contact details indicated in this document, specifying the booking number and the date of the booked service. For the purpose of compliance with the above deadlines, the date of receipt of the communication by the Farm shall be decisive.
Cancellation of courses or events by La Fattoria:
La Fattoria dell’Autosufficienza reserves the right to cancel a course or event should the minimum number of participants not be reached (as specified on the course description page) or due to force majeure. In such cases, participants will be informed promptly and will be entitled to a full refund of the amount paid, without this giving rise to any other claim for compensation. The refund may be used for the purchase and booking of new services.
In the event that the course/event is cancelled by the Farm, the Client is entitled to a full refund of the fee paid, which will be issued using the same method of payment originally used or, if this is not technically possible, by bank transfer.
Art. 4-bis: Rental of rooms and spaces for events organized by third parties
The Fattoria dell’Autosufficienza makes its rooms and the ancillary services of the facility available for the organization of events, courses, retreats, training and recreational activities by external parties (hereinafter the “Organizer”). Associations, organized groups, entities, professionals in the holistic and wellness sector, as well as corporate entities interested in team building or private celebrations, may take advantage of this opportunity. This article governs the contractual conditions applicable to the direct relationship between the Farm and the Organizer.
Bookings for board and lodging made by individual event participants remain subject to the general conditions set forth in the preceding articles.
4-bis.1 – Service characteristics and scope of application
The Farm provides two environments dedicated to the organization of group activities:
- Octagonal Room: an 88 sqm space built entirely with natural materials (wood, straw, raw earth), ideal for meditation practices, yoga, martial arts, dance, breathing exercises, and holistic activities. Equipped with natural heating, adjustable lighting, and an external deck with panoramic views.
- Geodesic Room: a 70 sqm triangular-based dome, a multifunctional structure suitable for hands-on workshops, laboratories, conferences, and wellness retreats.
The fee for renting the rooms includes use of the space for the entire duration of the event, ordinary and extraordinary cleaning, setup and daily rearrangement, as well as the use of available equipment (chairs with writing tablet, meditation chairs, cushions, mats, yoga blocks, video projector, audio system, microphone, flip chart, blankets, and access to restroom facilities with showers).
The complete list of equipment is available in the dedicated brochure available on the website or provided upon request.
The Farm also guarantees the availability of accommodation at the bio-agritourism facility and the agricamping site, as well as catering services, which event participants may book independently in accordance with the procedures described in section 4-bis.6 below. Additional services listed in the brochure (Finnish sauna, guided activities, workshops) are also available upon request and prior agreement.
The Farm is exclusively responsible for making the requested room available and for providing the ancillary services listed above. The Farm is not responsible for event promotion, management of participant registrations, definition of training or recreational content, preparation of educational or communication materials, or any other activity strictly related to the organization of the event itself, all of which remain the exclusive responsibility of the Organizer.
4-bis.2 – Booking process and customized quotation
Requests to rent the spaces must be submitted via the contact form available at https://www.autosufficienza.it/contattaci/ or by email to info@autosufficienza.it. The following information must be provided: desired event period, expected number of participants, type and subject of the activity, requested spaces (Octagonal Room, Geodesic Room, or both), any need for additional services, and details of the requesting party (name, surname or company name, contact details, website if available).
Following the request, the Farm evaluates space availability and prepares a customized quotation including a detailed breakdown of costs, reserved dates, free option conditions (with related expiration date), the amount of the required confirmatory deposit and its payment deadline, as well as the methods for paying the balance.
The quotation constitutes a binding contractual offer for the Farm until the expiration of the indicated option. The Organizer accepts the quotation by paying the confirmatory deposit within the established deadline. Payment of the deposit finalizes the contract and makes the booking definitive. If payment is not received by the stated deadline, the option automatically expires and the Farm is free to accept other requests for the same period.
Unlike the standard services described in Article 2, rental of the facility is not subject to an automated online booking procedure. Each request is examined individually and the quotation is tailored to the specific needs of the event.
4-bis.3 – Confirmatory deposit and payment methods
As security for the obligations undertaken, the Organizer pays the Farm a confirmatory deposit pursuant to Article 1385 of the Italian Civil Code. The amount of the deposit is determined based on the type of booking:
- €1,000 (one thousand euros) for events that do not require exclusive use of the facility, meaning that the Farm may simultaneously organize other activities or host additional guests.
- €5,000 (five thousand euros) for events that require full exclusivity of the facility, with reservation of all accommodation and common spaces for the sole hosting group.
The exact amount and type of deposit (standard or exclusive) are specified in the customized quotation sent to the Organizer.
Payment is made exclusively by bank transfer to the IBAN details provided in the quotation. The transfer reference must include the identifying details of the booking (event name, dates, Organizer’s name) as indicated in the quotation. Once the transfer has been made, the Organizer sends proof of payment to info@autosufficienza.it, copying t.carmenati@autosufficienza.it, with an email subject corresponding to the transfer reference. Any remaining balance amounts shall be due in accordance with the methods and deadlines specified in the customized quotation, depending on the duration and characteristics of the event.
4-bis.4 – Cancellation policy applicable to the Organizer
The deposit paid by the Organizer constitutes a confirmatory deposit pursuant to Article 1385 of the Italian Civil Code. If the event does not take place for reasons not attributable to the Farm, including, by way of example but not limited to, withdrawal or cancellation by the Organizer, failure to organize the event, supervening impossibility attributable to the Organizer or participants, or failure to reach the minimum number of registrants, the Farm retains the deposit as a lump-sum indemnity for non-occupation and organizational costs incurred. The application of the progressive penalties set out in the following paragraph remains unaffected, where more favorable to the Organizer.
In the event of cancellation communicated in writing by the Organizer, the following penalties apply as an alternative to full retention of the deposit:
- Notice received more than 60 days before the event start date: penalty of €500 (five hundred euros).
- Notice received between 60 and 30 days before the start date: penalty of €750 (seven hundred and fifty euros).
- Notice received within 30 days of the event start date: penalty equal to the full amount of the deposit paid (€1,000 or €5,000 depending on the type).
If the penalty amount is lower than the deposit already paid, the Farm refunds the difference within 30 days of the cancellation notice. If it is equal to or greater than the deposit, the deposit is retained in full. In any case, the maximum amount due as a penalty may not exceed the amount of the confirmatory deposit paid, which the parties acknowledge as fair and proportionate to the value of the booking and the foreseeable damage.
If the Farm is able to re-rent the spaces and services in full for the same period, the indemnity due by the Organizer is reduced by 50%, without prejudice to the right to retain a portion to cover administrative and organizational costs already incurred.
Cases of force majeure are excluded, meaning extraordinary, unforeseeable, and unavoidable events that make it objectively impossible to hold the event, such as natural disasters, measures by public authorities, large-scale health emergencies, armed conflicts, or other events beyond the control of the parties. In such duly documented cases, both parties are released from liability and the deposit is refunded in full to the Organizer within 30 days of notification of the force majeure event, without any further claims for compensation.
To exercise the right of cancellation, the Organizer must send an explicit declaration by email to info@autosufficienza.it, indicating in the subject line “Event cancellation [event name] – [dates]” and specifying the reasons for the cancellation in the message body. For the purpose of calculating deadlines, the date of receipt of the communication by the Farm shall apply.
4-bis.5 – Participant bookings and application of general conditions
Once the booking is finalized through payment of the deposit, the Farm generates a customized booking link via the Bookinglayer platform, which the Organizer may share with event participants. Through this link, each participant independently accesses the online booking procedure and may choose among the available accommodation options (bio-agritourism rooms, tiny houses, yurts, camper or tent pitches) as well as the preferred catering option (full board or two meals).
Bookings made by individual participants are fully governed by these General Terms and Conditions of Sale, with particular reference to the payment methods described in Article 3, the cancellation policy set out in Article 4.2, and the exclusion of the statutory right of withdrawal provided for in Article 6. For bookings within events organized by third parties, the payment required at the time of booking corresponds to 100% of the board and lodging fee, rather than any deposit percentage that may apply to other types of services. This arrangement ensures certainty for the Farm regarding the participant’s commitment and allows the Organizer to have an accurate count of actual registrations.
The participation fee for the event itself (course, retreat, or activity fee proposed by the Organizer) is paid by participants directly to the Organizer, in accordance with the economic arrangements and payment and cancellation conditions independently established by the Organizer. The Farm is not a party to this contractual relationship and has no authority to intervene in the management of registrations, determination of participation fees, or resolution of any disputes between the Organizer and participants regarding the content or price of the event.
It is understood that any cancellations of board and lodging bookings by individual participants are governed by the standard cancellation policy set out in Article 4.2 and do not in any way affect the obligations undertaken by the Organizer toward the Farm in relation to the rental of spaces, which remain fully confirmed.
4-bis.6 – Liability and limitations
The Fattoria dell’Autosufficienza assumes responsibility exclusively with regard to making the requested rooms available, their cleaning and ordinary maintenance, the provision of equipment included in the service, and the delivery of board and lodging services to participants who request them via the booking platform. The Farm is in no way responsible for defining the event content, managing training or recreational activities, verifying participant suitability for the proposed activities, promoting the event through communication channels, managing registration administration, or resolving disputes relating to the content or quality of the event itself.
The Organizer assumes full and exclusive responsibility for all aspects concerning the design, organization, and execution of the event. In particular, it is the Organizer’s responsibility to ensure that the proposed activities comply with applicable regulations on safety, health, and public order; that participants are adequately informed about the nature of the activities and any physical or psychological suitability requirements; that all necessary precautions are taken to prevent injury or damage to persons or property; and that the event content is consistent with what was declared at the quotation request stage.
The Farm reserves the right to immediately suspend the event or deny access to the spaces if it detects violations of the facility’s internal regulations, behavior dangerous to personal safety or the integrity of the premises, unauthorized activities or activities substantially different from those agreed upon in the quotation, or violations of laws or public authority provisions. In such cases, the Organizer is not entitled to a refund of the deposit or reimbursement of any amounts already paid as consideration for the rental of the spaces.
If the event cannot take place for reasons attributable to the Farm, such as unforeseen technical unavailability of the rooms, structural damage, authority measures preventing use of the spaces, or other circumstances making performance objectively impossible, the deposit paid is refunded in full to the Organizer within 30 days of notification of the impediment. Such refund fully satisfies any claim by the Organizer against the Farm, which shall not be liable for any further compensation for direct or indirect damages or loss of profit resulting from the failure to hold the event.
For matters not expressly regulated in this article, the general provisions on liability and exemption set forth in Article 8 of these General Terms and Conditions of Sale shall apply.
Art. 5: Nature of the services and exclusion of medical treatments
It is expressly clarified that the stays, courses and activities offered by La Fattoria dell’Autosufficienza are educational, recreational and wellness-oriented in nature. They do not constitute nor are they intended to replace in any way medical treatments, therapies or professional health consultations. La Fattoria does not provide healthcare services. Users with particular health conditions are required to consult their doctor before booking and to inform the facility of any specific needs, which will be assessed to verify their compatibility with the activities offered.
For specific services (e.g. Conscious fasting retreat), La Fattoria provides a list of ‘Exclusion Criteria’ (pathologies or clinical conditions that are incompatible). The Customer declares, under their own exclusive civil and criminal liability, to have reviewed such list and not to fall within any of the cases indicated. Booking by individuals affected by the listed pathologies is expressly prohibited for safety reasons. La Fattoria reserves the right to terminate the contract and deny participation should any discrepancies emerge with respect to what has been declared.
Art. 6: Exclusion of the statutory right of withdrawal
The Customer acknowledges that, pursuant to Article 59 of Legislative Decree 206/2005 (“Consumer Code”), the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal is excluded for the services offered by the Site. Specifically, this exclusion applies, among others, to the provision of accommodation for non-residential purposes, catering services or services concerning leisure activities where the contract provides for a specific date or period of performance (as in the case of overnight stays, meals and courses on pre-established dates).
The cancellation policy described in Art. 4 represents the contractual withdrawal terms applied by La Fattoria.
Art. 7: Guarantees
For services purchased by the user as a consumer, the legal guarantee of conformity applies, which requires the seller to provide services in conformity with what is described in the sales contract.
Art. 8: Liability and Exemption
The seller assumes no liability for service disruptions attributable to force majeure or fortuitous events, even where dependent on malfunctions and disruptions of the internet network. The user is responsible for the accuracy and truthfulness of the data provided during the purchase process.
The user acknowledges and accepts that participation in activities, courses and stays at La Fattoria dell’Autosufficienza may involve inherent risks. The user assumes full responsibility for any damage, injury or loss that they may suffer or cause to third parties during their stay, releasing La Fattoria dell’Autosufficienza from all liability, except in cases of wilful misconduct or gross negligence legally established. The user is required to behave with prudence and to follow all safety instructions provided by the staff.
La Fattoria dell’Autosufficienza declines all liability for accidents, injuries or damage to property or persons that may occur outside the boundaries of the property or during activities carried out independently by the Guest (e.g. free excursions, travel on public roads or paths not managed by the Fattoria), even if such activities take place during the period of stay.
Art. 9: Overnight Stays and Extra Services
- The costs of accommodation are separate from those of the courses and, although managed in the same booking process, are clearly identified.
- For overnight stays – Check-in times: from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Check-out by 10:00 am.
- Cots or extra beds available upon request, subject to availability.
- Domestic animals are allowed, as regulated in the facility’s rules.
For all details, La Fattoria dell’Autosufficienza provides its services by adopting its own regulations, which the Customer, in the event of booking, declares to accept in full.
Art. 10: Complaints Procedure
Users may submit any complaints relating to purchases made on the Site by sending written communication to:
- Postal address: La Fattoria dell’Autosufficienza, Località Paganico, 1 – 47021 Bagno di Romagna (FC)
